Few producers have impacted the Electronic Music scene such as Above and Beyond, comprised of Tony McGuinness, Jono Grant, and Paavo Siljamäki. I first heard of them back in 2004 under one of their most recognizable project aliases with singer Justin Suissa as “Oceanlab”, with their break through track ‘Satellite’. Evolving into what is now known as the Anjunabeats label, A&B has produced under such nomenclatures as Tranquility Base, Aalto, Anjunabeats, Colours Of Amon Ra, Dirt Devils, Free State, Nitromethane, Sad Lovers And Giants, and Zed-X. Their ever evolving sound has ranged from uplifting productions, to more progressive sounds featured in the four albums and singles highlighted in this mix, with “Common Ground” as their latest, released in January 2018. Most recently their acoustic releases focus on more of their art as musicians, nevertheless all tying back to their roots as Electronic Music Giants.
